Einstein Books Collection

Einstein books Collection
Albert Einstein was born at Ulm, in Württemberg, Germany, on March 14, 1879. Six weeks later the family moved to Munich, where he later on began his schooling at the Luitpold Gymnasium. Later, they moved to Italy and Albert continued his education at Aarau, Switzerland and in 1896 he entered the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich to be trained as a teacher in physics and mathematics. In 1901, the year he gained his diploma, he acquired Swiss citizenship and, as he was unable to find a teaching post, he accepted a position as technical assistant in the Swiss Patent Office. In 1905 he obtained his doctor's degree.

During his stay at the Patent Office, and in his spare time, he produced much of his remarkable work and in 1908 he was appointed Privatdozent in Berne. In 1909 he became Professor Extraordinary at Zurich, in 1911 Professor of Theoretical Physics at Prague, returning to Zurich in the following year to fill a similar post. In 1914 he was appointed Director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Physical Institute and Professor in the University of Berlin. He became a German citizen in 1914 and remained in Berlin until 1933 when he renounced his citizenship for political reasons and emigrated to America to take the position of Professor of Theoretical Physics at Princeton*. He became a United States citizen in 1940 and retired from his post in 1945.

After World War II, Einstein was a leading figure in the World Government Movement, he was offered the Presidency of the State of Israel, which he declined, and he collaborated with Dr. Chaim Weizmann in establishing the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Einstein always appeared to have a clear view of the problems of physics and the determination to solve them. He had a strategy of his own and was able to visualize the main stages on the way to his goal. He regarded his major achievements as mere stepping-stones for the next advance.

At the start of his scientific work, Einstein realized the inadequacies of Newtonian mechanics and his special theory of relativity stemmed from an attempt to reconcile the laws of mechanics with the laws of the electromagnetic field. He dealt with classical problems of statistical mechanics and problems in which they were merged with quantum theory: this led to an explanation of the Brownian movement of molecules. He investigated the thermal properties of light with a low radiation density and his observations laid the foundation of the photon theory of light.

In his early days in Berlin, Einstein postulated that the correct interpretation of the special theory of relativity must also furnish a theory of gravitation and in 1916 he published his paper on the general theory of relativity. During this time he also contributed to the problems of the theory of radiation and statistical mechanics.

In the 1920's, Einstein embarked on the construction of unified field theories, although he continued to work on the probabilistic interpretation of quantum theory, and he persevered with this work in America. He contributed to statistical mechanics by his development of the quantum theory of a monatomic gas and he has also accomplished valuable work in connection with atomic transition probabilities and relativistic cosmology.

After his retirement he continued to work towards the unification of the basic concepts of physics, taking the opposite approach, geometrisation, to the majority of physicists.

Einstein's researches are, of course, well chronicled and his more important works include Special Theory of Relativity (1905), Relativity (English translations, 1920 and 1950), General Theory of Relativity (1916), Investigations on Theory of Brownian Movement (1926), and The Evolution of Physics (1938). Among his non-scientific works, About Zionism (1930), Why War? (1933), My Philosophy (1934), and Out of My Later Years (1950) are perhaps the most important.

Albert Einstein received honorary doctorate degrees in science, medicine and philosophy from many European and American universities. During the 1920's he lectured in Europe, America and the Far East and he was awarded Fellowships or Memberships of all the leading scientific academies throughout the world. He gained numerous awards in recognition of his work, including the Copley Medal of the Royal Society of London in 1925, and the Franklin Medal of the Franklin Institute in 1935.

Einstein's gifts inevitably resulted in his dwelling much in intellectual solitude and, for relaxation, music played an important part in his life. He married Mileva Maric in 1903 and they had a daughter and two sons; their marriage was dissolved in 1919 and in the same year he married his cousin, Elsa Löwenthal, who died in 1936. He died on April 18, 1955 at Princeton, New Jersey.

Introduction To Algorithms

Introduction To Algorithms By Cormen Thomas H

Thoroughly rewritten and substantially revised, this book offers a current and comprehensive introduction to the study of computer algorithms. It provides an in-depth treatment of a broad range of algorithms with an emphasis on techniques of design and analysis to help students understand their practical utility. The algorithms are described in English and in a "pseudocode" designed to present each algorithm clearly and succinctly. The text contains over 230 figures illustrating how the algorithms work.
The second edition features new chapters on the role of algorithms, probabilistic analysis and randomized algorithms, and linear programming, as well as extensive revisions to virtually every section of the book. In a subtle but important change, loop invariants are introduced early and used throughout the text to prove algorithm correctness. Without changing the mathematical and analytic focus, much of the mathematical foundational material has been moved from Part I to an appendix to accommodate additional motivational material at the beginning of the book.
The book is designed to be both versatile and complete. It is intended primarily for use in undergraduate and postgraduate courses in data structures or algorithms. It is equally well suited for self-study by technical professionals because of its extensive coverage of engineering issues in algorithm design.

Fight for Tomorrow

Fight for Tomorrow By Brian Wood

Brian Wood, the critically acclaimed writer of DMZ, teams with artist Denys Cowan for this action-packed tale of a young Buddhist monk turned kung fu street brawler.

Kidnapped as a small boy, Cedric Zhang was bought and raised to fight in competitions for the benefit of his owner and the other local clan bosses. He quickly formed a tight and lasting bond with Christy, one of the clan's young nurses. They helped each other survive in a grim and violent environment, until they escaped as young adults and relocated to New York City. Then, in the middle of the night, Christy runs away, disappearing with no warning or explanation. Cedric immerses himself in the violent and corrupt NYC underworld in an effort to locate his missing friend and finds himself back in the same horrible world he spent his life trying to escape.

The story focuses around a character named Cedric Zhang, a buddhist who was raised as a fighter for underground fights where people regularly show up and bet on the fighters involved. He leads a pretty tough life, getting beat up almost every other day. But he finds strength in her girlfriend named Christy who was also in the same regime as Cedric.

Turns out Christy goes missing and Cedric has to find her, and along the way try to find himself. It's a heartfelt story of the everyman essentially and it's a very good one at that.

The writing's very creative, and it doesn't really feel like a normal run-of-the-mill story. Brian's characters feel very human and they often jump out of the page and start to live in your mind, that's due to the realistic dialogue and also the motivations of the characters. I think he's taken a very flawed character like Cedric and made us sympathise with his struggles and dilemmas, which is great

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People By Stephen R. Covey

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change was a groundbreaker when it was first published in 1990, and it continues to be a business bestseller with more than 10 million copies sold. Stephen Covey, an internationally respected leadership authority, realizes that true success encompasses a balance of personal and professional effectiveness, so this book is a manual for performing better in both arenas. His anecdotes are as frequently from family situations as from business challenges.

Before you can adopt the seven habits, you'll need to accomplish what Covey calls a "paradigm shift"--a change in perception and interpretation of how the world works. Covey takes you through this change, which affects how you perceive and act regarding productivity, time management, positive thinking, developing your "proactive muscles" (acting with initiative rather than reacting), and much more.

Despite having sold many millions of copies, Stephen Covey's groundbreaking book remains as fresh, helpful, and important as when it was first published. Such longevity is a testament to the quality of the insights that Covey offers: Eschewing easy fixes and simple-minded formulas, his writings offers a comprehensive and highly detailed program for invigorating your career as well as other aspects of life. You won't be able to breeze through this book (the writing is sometimes complex and involved), and you won't be able to apply Covey's ideas half-heartedly (the vision outlined requires serious effort to realize), but if you're willing to do the work, you'll reap the enormous benefits that many other readers have discovered and put into action.

Covey's Seven Habits are a more than just a time-management or leadership strategy, they are an opportunity to review your life choices and make important changes that may help you lead a happier, more productive life. The first three habits (Be Proactive, Begin With the End in Mind, Put First Things First) are more about managing oneself and others in order to accomplish tasks and goals, but with Habits four through six (Think Win/Win, Seek First to Understand Then to Be Understood, Synergize) Covey provides 'Paradigms of Interdependence' which allow one to transform their relationship with others into a richer experience.

The Seventh Habit (Sharpen the Saw) is about personal renewal, and how to spend a small amount of time daily to work towards continual improvement. Covey wrote the book in the interest of helping people return to a principle-centered life, which was espoused by Ben Franklin and others centuries ago but has been set aside in recent years in favor of quick-fix strategies of dubious value. Seven Habits is easy to read and understand -- Covey explains each idea with plenty of examples from his own life. Covey is a member of the Mormon faith which he mentions occasionally, if you are bothered by that sort of thing, but his advice is non-denominational and is compatible with any belief-system. Seven Habits is the sort of book that can be read again and again, and can and should be saved on the shelf as a reference. Highly recommended.

The Tragedy of Romeo And Juliet

The Tragedy of Romeo And Juliet By William Shakespeare

William Shakespeare (1564-1616) was an English poet and playwright, now widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's pre-eminent dramatist. He is often called England's national poet and the "Bard of Avon" (or simply "The Bard"). His surviving works consist of 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and several other poems. His plays have been translated into every major living language and are performed more often than those of any other playwright. Between 1585 and 1592 he began a successful career in London as an actor, writer, and part owner of the playing company the Lord Chamberlain's Men, later known as the King's Men. He produced most of his known work between 1590 and 1613. His early plays were mainly comedies and histories, genres he raised to the peak of sophistication and artistry by the end of the sixteenth century. Next he wrote mainly tragedies until about 1608, producing plays, such as Hamlet, King Lear, and Macbeth, considered some of the finest in the English language. In his last phase, he wrote tragicomedies and collaborated with other playwrights.

Romeo and Juliet was the first drama in English to confer full tragic dignity on the agonies of youthful love. The lyricism that enshrines their death-marked devotion has made the lovers legendary in every language that possesses a literature.

The magnificent, timeless drama is the world's most famous tale of " star-crossed lovers." The young, unshakable love of Juliet and Romeo defies the feud that divides their families-- the Capulets and Montagues-- as their desperate need to be together, their secret meetings, and finally their concealed marriage drive them toward tragedy. A masterwork that has long captured the hearts of audiences, this romantic tragedy has become part of the literary heritage of all peoples in all nations.

Gandhi An Autobiography: The Story of My Experiments With Truth

Gandhi An Autobiography: The Story of My Experiments With Truth By Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi,Mahadev H. Desai

Gandhi's nonviolent struggles in South Africa and India had already brought him to such a level of notoriety, adulation, and controversy that when asked to write an autobiography midway through his career, he took it as an opportunity to explain himself. Although accepting of his status as a great innovator in the struggle against racism, violence, and, just then, colonialism, Gandhi feared that enthusiasm for his ideas tended to exceed a deeper understanding. He says that he was after truth rooted in devotion to God and attributed the turning points, successes, and challenges in his life to the will of God. His attempts to get closer to this divine power led him to seek purity through simple living, dietary practices (he called himself a fruitarian), celibacy, and ahimsa, a life without violence. It is in this sense that he calls his book The Story of My Experiments with Truth, offering it also as a reference for those who would follow in his footsteps. A reader expecting a complete accounting of his actions, however, will be sorely disappointed.

Although Gandhi presents his episodes chronologically, he happily leaves wide gaps, such as the entire satyagraha struggle in South Africa, for which he refers the reader to another of his books. And writing for his contemporaries, he takes it for granted that the reader is familiar with the major events of his life and of the political milieu of early 20th-century India. For the objective story, try Yogesh Chadha's Gandhi: A Life. For the inner world of a man held as a criminal by the British, a hero by Muslims, and a holy man by Hindus, look no further than these experiments. --Brian Bruya

9/11 The Ultimate Truth

9/11 The Ultimate Truth By Laura Knight-Jadczyk, Joe Quinn

With strong efforts in conducting a detailed research on the events of 9/11 and the motivations behind the attacks, Laura Knight-Jadczyk and Joe Quinn wrote the most ground-breaking work entitled "9/11: The Ultimate Truth," which was published in 2006. This 430-page book drives the reader to experience the shocking truth about what happened on September 11, 2001 and to understand the virulent motivations behind the "terrorist" attacks. To understand in depth on why the horrific events of 9/11 happened, the answer lies in "9/11: The Ultimate Truth."

There are two parts in this book. Part One focused primary on the 9/11 events by analyzing the great deal of evidences surrounding the three events: Flight 93, the Pentagon, and the World Trade Centers. And, how the Israel became involved and the role of the United States government on that day is evident. It also laid out the evidence-based scenario of how the events been played out. It is important to point out that in first part of this book addressed a new look at the situation of Ted and Barbara Olson and how they are connected to the 9/11 events.

The second part of "9/11: The Ultimate Truth" focused on the history of Zionism, genetics, the hidden motivations behind the attacks, and the nature of psychopaths. With an understanding of how and why Israel was involved and their on-going insidious actions, one will begin to comprehend why 9/11 was so important and how it led the United States of America to become a Fascist State. This part of the book also included some sections from "Political Ponerology" by Andrew Lobaczewski who had done a paramount work on psychopathy and the nature of evil within the governments.

Since Knight-Jadczyk and Quinn focused on the current phenomenon of psychopaths, the Zionist control, and the history in the second part of this book, it is strongly recommended for the readers to obtain and study other works that discussed with certain aspects of this phenomenon, including "Political Ponerology" (by Andrew Lobaczewski), "The Controversy of Zion" (by Douglas Reed), "The New Pearl Harbor" (by David Ray Griffin), "The Mask of Sanity" (by Hervey Checkley), "Without Conscience" (by Robert Hare), "The Sociopath Next Door" (by Martha Stout), and "Predators" (by Anna Salter). With these works, one will have a better understanding of how psychopath's mind works and an alarming and dangerous agenda of the Zionists.

In Knight-Jadczyk and Quinn's "9/11: The Ultimate Truth," one can apprehend the nature of evil within the United States government and their motivations in bring about the terrorist attacks on the American people by looking at the real evidences in each events of 9/11, the Israel involvement, the political ponerology, the issue of psychopathy, and the history of Zionist control. Instead of being greatly confused about what happened on the day of 9/11, the authors bring the reader to this understanding of 'why' the horrific day has occurred. This book is easy to read with a historical perspective and it contains a powerful understanding of the nature of the pathocratic rule in United States. The back of the book where it is stated: "This book will shatter your world view," it is no joke.

It is a strong opinion that this book is to be highly recommended, and a must read for those who seek the truth about the attacks on September 11, 2001.

The Road Ahead

The Road Ahead By Bill Gates

The Road Ahead is a novel about how computer technology effects our lives. The book explains how Bill Gates was introduced to computers at the young age of 13 (a rarity in 1969). He also practicly designed software for an entire computer terminal at age 13 1/2. Bill's obsession carried him through grade school and then through high school. Eventually, he got into Harvard University. While in Harvard he designed more advanced software for a brand new computer he saw in a magazine. When Bill tried to give his software to various companies they rejected him. Discouraged, Gates dropped out of Harvard after his sophomore year. After dropping out he decided to star his own company. Perhaps you have heard of it, the most successful homemade software company in the world, Microsoft.
Bill Gates is obviously the most important character in the book. He is a persistent and determined man. He is very bright, and his life revolves completely around computers. Because of Gate's hard work, he is one of the wealthiest men in the world. The theme is, when you have a goal, you can reach it with work, and lots of it. This definitely applies to everyday life. Although Bill is a billionaire, he still handles himself like a normal person. Bill Gates is classy, intelligent, and respectable. He is truly quite a man!!

DREAMS FROM MY FATHER

Dreams From My Father : A Story Of Race And Inheritance By Barack Obama

Elected the first black president of the Harvard Law Review, Obama was offered a book contract, but the intellectual journey he planned to recount became instead this poignant, probing memoir of an unusual life. Born in 1961 to a white American woman and a black Kenyan student, Obama was reared in Hawaii by his mother and her parents, his father having left for further study and a return home to Africa. So Obama's not-unhappy youth is nevertheless a lonely voyage to racial identity, tensions in school, struggling with black literature?with one month-long visit when he was 10 from his commanding father. After college, Obama became a community organizer in Chicago. He slowly found place and purpose among folks of similar hue but different memory, winning enough small victories to commit himself to the work?he's now a civil rights lawyer there. Before going to law school, he finally visited Kenya; with his father dead, he still confronted obligation and loss, and found wellsprings of love and attachment. Obama leaves some lingering questions?his mother is virtually absent?but still has written a resonant book.

HARRY POTTER BOOKS (7) COLLECTION

Harry Potter Books By JK Rowling

Harry Potter is the name of a well known fantasy series. It is written by the well known and one of the most popular writers, J. K. Rowling. The first series of Harry Potter was released in 1997 which was later retitled as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the US.

It gained the utmost popularity and critical acclaim worldwide. It hit the roof of commercial success with nothing less than four hundred millions copies sold within a year. One can imagine the kind of popularity this book has enjoyed. It has been translated in almost 67 languages. Another feather to add to its cap was when the four consecutive books set a record of fastest-selling books as of now.

And, now comes the last and final one wherein Harry Potter would be confronting Voldemort, the nefarious villain of the series. It would be a confrontation of the Good and Evil. It is a story of Harry Potter, the boy wizard who has to bear the burden as a leader although personally being a simple boy, who would rather prefer to lead an ordinary life like any other teenager who would want to hang out with friends.
It is a world of magic created by J K Rowling’s imagination with even minute details. Readers are carried away to an altogether different universe. What with the cloak that is invisible, the flying motorcycle and cars, mails being delivered by owls, talking paintings, Dumbbledore's pensieve and many more make each book surreal but still connects with everyday reality. The minds of the readers of the Harry Potter books are filled with never ending passion for these books.

WINGS OF FIRE

WINGS OF FIRE:AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY WITH ARUN TIWARI

Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, the son of a little-educated boat-owner in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, had an unparalleled career as a defence scientist, culminating in the highest civilian award of India, the Bharat Ratna. As chief of the country’s defence research and development programme, Kalam demonstrated the great potential for dynamism and innovation that existed in seemingly moribund research establishments. This is the story of Kalam’s rise from obscurity and his personal and professional struggles, as well as the story of Agni, Prithvi, Akash, Trishul and Nag—missiles that have become household names in India and that have raised the nation to the level of a missile power of international reckoning. This is also the saga of independent India’s struggle for technological self-sufficiency and defensive autonomy—a story as much about politics, domestic and international, as it is about science.

Readers Digest [Nov 2009]

A monthly magazine with anecdotes, jokes, words of wisdom, which is best suited and preferred by all sections of society irrespective of their age. It comes out all over the world. It's famous because it's small (around half the size of a normal mag), and contains a real mix of articles broadly typified as 'general interest'.
The best thing about them is there is so much to read. They have a lot of pages and are very compact. There are so many different articles that you have a LOT to read. The articles are often true life stories (of all types) and short stories. There is a lot of emphasis on text and not much on pictures, which again is something I like. In terms of time and value for money, there's a lot of content. The mag is written by all sorts of different authors, so you get a good mix of styles and vocabulary which keeps it fresh and interesting.

Barack Obama: The Voice of an American Leader By Joann F.Price
This book offers a revealing look at Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee for the 2008 presidency, from the perspective of quotations by and about Obama on his heritage and family, state and national politics, his run for the presidency, the issues of the day, community activism and service, and thoughts on race and faith.

Product Description :
By any measure, the 2008 presidential race has been historic. The race has created an enthusiasm and a high degree of interest in politics few have ever seen before. Many Americans agree with his politics, and many don't, but most agree he is an incredible force in today's highly-charged political world, and has come along at one of the most crucial, difficult times in our nation's history. For a sense of what has transpired in this campaign and how it is different from others in America's history, this book looks at one candidate from the perspective of quotations, made by and about Barack Obama.

Thematically arranged chapter highlight topics including Obama's heritage, his family, state and national politics, his run for the presidency, the issues of the day, community activism and service, and thoughts on race and faith. Each chapter contains an introduction and many of the quotations are supported with background information to give students and general readers a better understanding of the current events and political issues at play. Ideal for student assignments as well as for reading cover to cover, this volume offers the most representative, revealing, and often controversial quotes by and about a man who has created a movement in American politics.

Web Designing by W3Schools

W3Schools

Well, of all the places on the internet today, this is still one of the strongest going sites. It is also one of the most properly done sites, and for a good reason: They not only teach the proper standards so that you learn the Right Way, rather than the quick and messy way, but they use W3 standards, and have won numerous awards for their site (which incidentally gets an average of 1,000,000 hits per day).

Also, W3Schools.com does not just offer free education on HTML programming. They are the ultimate webmasters resource because the teach all of the major components of web design and development. The full list would be quite a long one, and you can see it on their site navigation bar, but I will say that finding a site that teaches HTML, XHTML, CSS, ASP, XSL, SOAP, SQL, PHP, and many many more technologies... all in one place... absolutely amazing and a resource that should be supported in every way (I would encourage you to click on some ads while you are there, just to help them out;).

This site is incredibly useful, highly organized, follows strict standards of development, and is Free!

RÁMÁYAN OF VÁLMÍKI

RÁMÁYAN OF VÁLMÍKI By Ralph T.H. Griffith

This is the first complete public domain translation of the Ramayana to be placed online. The Ramayana is one of the two epic Hindu poems, the other being the Mahabharata. The Ramayana describes a love story between Rama, an ancient King, and Sita, who is captured by Ravan, the King of Ceylon. Rama lays siege to Ceylon and wins back Sita. The parallels to the Iliad are obvious, but the details are very
different.
This verse translation by Griffith, whose translations of the Rig Veda and the Sama Veda are also available at sacred-texts, was scanned in 2000 from an original copy, which had very poor typesetting. Due to the difficulty of converting this 600 page text to etext, the project was put on hold for several years until OCR technology matured. Finally in 2003, the text was OCR-ed and proofed at Distributed Proofing. However, despite best efforts, there are several places in this text where the proofing was difficult or impossible. These are indicated by asterisks or (illegible). We are in the process of cleaning up these issues and hope to have a definitive version of this text at some point. In the meantime we hope you enjoy this epic, which is one of the most popular tales of Indian mythology.

Word Power Made Easy

Word Power Made Easy By Norman Lewis

A great concept by Norman Lewis. This book is excellently written for improvement of vocabulary and grammar. The mechanism of the book is the easiest of all that one can find.
The book is divided parts, each part is divided into chapters and each chapter is divided into sessions. Now, each chapter begins with a session containing 10 basic words with detailed explanations for easy memorization. After you memorize the 10 words, you proceed to the next sessions of the chapter in which the 10 words are broken down into the root words. Now, from each root word, number of other words which are built on the same root word are explained briefly and clearly. So, this mechanism allows you to memorize more than 100 words from 10 basic words.
Further, the book has ''Review'' and ''Test Your Learning'' sessions through which you can never forget the words you have learnt.
Further, the book is written in so simple language that even a child can read it very easily.
The book is easy to avail and is much cheaper than any other books of the similiar category.
