Harry Potter is the name of a well known fantasy series. It is written by the well known and one of the most popular writers, J. K. Rowling. The first series of Harry Potter was released in 1997 which was later retitled as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the US.

It gained the utmost popularity and critical acclaim worldwide. It hit the roof of commercial success with nothing less than four hundred millions copies sold within a year. One can imagine the kind of popularity this book has enjoyed. It has been translated in almost 67 languages. Another feather to add to its cap was when the four consecutive books set a record of fastest-selling books as of now.
